
As you can see, the trash can is not a folder, and anything dragged there is permanently deleted.

Since GEM runs on top of DOS, you can exit out to a DOS prompt and run DOS applications, typing exit to return as you would in Windows.

The accessories bundled with GEM are similar to the ones included with the Macintosh.

Instead of a full-blown control panel like the Mac, GEM uses a simple preferences dialog with only a few settings.
