And last but not least in the OpenOffice lineup, Spreadsheet.

So much better than my last review of Fedora. Loads of default screensavers, and no needed packages!

Like any Linux distro, access to the Terminal is not that hard, and it allows you to do so much more than the GUI does. In fact, there are too many things that have to be done from the command line, which can get annoying.

Oh wait, almost forgot about chess!

And finally, shutting down gOS.
Conclusion:It may not look like it from the screenshots, but gOS actually gives Lubuntu 10.04 a run for it's money in terms of the worst Linux distro I've ever used.
It looks all nice and shiny and polished, but trying to customize even the slightest of things is a nightmare.
The wBar is so broken you can't edit it if you still want to use it.
The screenshot utility is pants, at least Lubuntu's has a rename command.
Like Lubuntu, it not only runs the CPU hot really quickly, but it also shuts down randomly, breaking the filesystem and of course rendering itself unbootable.
Most everything is unstable as well.
What all this amounts to is basically the worst Linux distro I've used. Yes, it's worse than Lubuntu 10.04. It is not, however, worse than Winblows 8. |
