I think this is the first time ever that the Lubuntu desktop hasn't completely changed between versions!

The menu has remained mostly the same.

Lubuntu still uses PCManFM as the file manager.

One notable change is the removal of Chromium and the use of Firefox. This intrigued me, otherwise I wouldn't have looked at Lubuntu 13.10.

The software center has also been renamed to match the distro. Finally.
