One other problem I have is with the themes. There are two separate theme preferences. One for Cinnamon, and one for the applications.
As you can see, the Cinnamon theme only changes the taskbar and menu. Everything else remains unchanged. Those have to be changed using a different control panel. Making it possible to have a completely inconsistent user interface by having two entirely different themes selected!

One other glitch is that with the inverse high-contrast theme selected, window titles remain in black so they become practically invisible. Nice.

Conclusion:
While Cinnamon certainly has potential, there are a number of little quirks that make it seem incomplete. However for those looking to upgrade their Mint 12 installs but like the way Mint 12 works or have gotten used to it I would recommend using the Cinnamon version over MATE since MATE is quite a bit different from Mint 12.
