
Since GNOME has been renamed to MATE, I guess they decided that they should rename Nautilus to "Caja". Other than that it is identical to previous versions.

Linux Mint still retains the unique software manager.

While the applets are still spread out in the menu, at the very least there is now only one control panel.
One difference between earlier versions is that the regular scrollbars are back.

Shutting down Mint 13 with MATE.
Conclusion: MATE gives users of Linux the traditional and well-formed desktop that they should have been having all along. It also changes very little from Mint 11. I would definitely recommend Mint 13 with MATE. |
