
Redhat also includes it's own updating service, much unlike alot of distros of the time.

In terms of office applications Redhat bundles OpenOffice, back from a time where it didn't totally suck.

Something you won't see bundled anymore (but that you can still get) is the Emacs editor, the classic text-mode only text editor.

Searching of course defaults to a useless case-sensitive and full-file-name search, and it is incredibly non-obvious that this is the case.

Did I mention it has screensavers?
Conclusion: Redhat Linux 9 is not too much different from the other distros of it's time period. |
