Ubuntu 4.10 "Warty Warthog" is the first ever release of Ubuntu
This is going to be a short review, as most of the stuff present is stuff I have covered previously.

The login splash, showing exactly what is and has started up.

This is the default desktop. Most of what a modern Ubuntu user would expect to see is present, except for the following:
- There is no system menu; all the applets are located under a setting submenu in the Applications folder.
- There is no disk utility.
- USB support is non-existant
- There are a number of items under the system submenu that are no longer present (such as "Report bug")
Obviously it is alot more primitive in nature, and many commands and things must be done from the command line as was the Linux norm back in those days.

As is typical with Ubuntu, only a few background options.

Nautilus is bundled by default as the file manager. |
