This would have helped me so much had I known it sooner, but the edge of the screen is basically one big "hot spot", and opens up this border displaying a number of icons.
The five icons at the top are icons for the various display modes as well as the journal, and the icons at the bottom are indicators for the user's computer.

Here is the journal, which logs anything and everything you do in any application. You can name it something (as I showed earlier), but it will log it even if you do not.
I believe it also attaches saved files to the entry as well, however I did not test this.
You can also search through, filter, and favorite different entries, making it very powerful.

Filtering can be done by type of application/file, or by outright the application the entry belongs to.
Say you wanted to see what a child had done in Paint, you can simply filter it by "Paint", and only entries belonging to the Paint program show up.
The same thing also applies to the time-based filtering, which allows you to only see things done within a certain time period.

Clicking on the start next to each entry will favorite that entry, and when you click on the star in the "titlebar" only favorite entries will show up.

This is the community view, which allows you to see who is using Sugar at that particular time, I think.
Which is kinda creepy, however it does give you an idea of just how many people are actually using this around the world. |
