The Regedit tool in Windows 95 has been enhanced to provide keyword searching as well as the ability to export sections to text files.

Search hasn't changed a whole lot, but search results are now displayed within the program, and you can search for more than just the file name.

The help system will now pop up topics in windows that resize, move themselves or even close when a new button/link is clicked. In theory this is supposed to preserve desktop space and let the user use the program and read the help at the same time. In practice it only served as a hypnotic device.

Something most people don't notice is the help button. If you click the button and then an input control it will pop up a tooltip displaying some (probably useless, as most of them were) information about it. Clicking the control and pushing F1 at the same time does the same thing.

It is possible to change the colors to whatever you would like (and yes it is possible to set it to something freaking insane).
Note that it is possible to also change more than just colors, like font sizes, icon sizes, and other window metrics. |
