
Here is a look at the file manager, which again other than some security and server-specific items isn't different from the one in 3.1.

A look at the permission editor. Presumably this would only apply if you chose to install into one of those new-fangled NTFS volumes like I did here.
Now Windows gets to benefit from permission hell just like Unix! Although NT permissions are significantly less archaic, fortunately. Do note the very similar "RWX" listing though.

It is possible to "audit" file operations as well; Windows NT includes logging facilities, similar I guess to syslog under Unix.

Finally, you can take ownership of pretty much any file you want on the system using this dialog. |
