Windows Vista Classic theme
If you turn off the themes you can still get it to look [mostly] like Windows XP or even 2000.

Windows Vista Shutdown
Shutting down has changed slightly. There isn't anything to see since there are no prompts anymore, but shutting down now requires use of this new sub-menu.

Conclusion:
There doesn't appear to be anything different between XP and Vista...except for the fact that Microsoft has now ripped off more stuff from Mac OS X.
