The drive setup utility is really only used when installing Haiku to a physical hard drive.

Of course, although it must be said that Haiku is strictly not related to Unix in any way, there is a terminal utility for access to a Unix-like command line interface.

Conclusion: There are a number of things that really need to be worked on still (Floppy support, printing, sound, among other things), but Haiku is looking to be a promising alternative to both Windows and Linux. The interface is clean, it works, and best of all it can do work reliably. |
