
The Haiku "Get Info" option seems to provide much more information than did prior versions. It's also possible to note that it appears as though Haiku also implements some kind of user security, something BeOS didn't have. I didn't test to see whether Haiku supports multiple user accounts, but if it doesn't, it probably will soon enough.

Haiku includes replicant support for a few more of the applets than before. Or, perhaps it was just that a few more of the applets actually work under Virtualbox.

Haiku A4 now includes OHCI USB support (basically USB 1.x), so I can mount my USB drives now.
Other enhanced drivers include those for video, CPUs, PS/2 devices, and network devices.

Here is a list of the applications Haiku comes bundled with. New to this list are a debugging program, a keymap switcher, an audio equalizer program, and a new screensaver.

The file manager has remained unchanged as well. Note that it is still possible to do everything here without the use of a web browser or web rendering engine. |
