There are still several built-in Microsoft utilities that switch between both types of user interface. I don't care which one you pick, pick one. The inconsistency hurts.

Now how is this for an admission of defeat? Even though it takes a whole bunch of unnecessary rigamarole to install, it is possible now to run a Linux BASH shell under Windows. How long do you think it will be until Windows 10 becomes yet another Linux distribution? I give it 10 years. It already is, given all the UI inconsistencies and stupid "features" usually reserved for the Linux world.

The absolute best part of Windows 10.
Conclusion: Why people continue to put up with this never-ending stream of cow shit is beyond me. There is nothing in this "update" that either is new, revolutionary, or necessary, and that hasn't been done better before either. A lot of it is stuff we already had before that was yanked out for no good reason.
I felt as though maybe an update would bring some of the much needed sanity back into Windows. Well, that flew out the window in a hurry. Along with my computer monitor and tower. The crash was very satisfying, I might add. |
