This is the room you start off in, the "public family room".
The interesting thing about the video rendering is that the images are mostly vector files (Windows meta files), whic means they can be scaled infinitely and not become blocky, resulting in a smooth picture at any resolution.
The odd thing is, even on a display with millions of colors the graphics are still dithered to a 256 color palette.
Most of the things in the room are decorations, but a few of them open Bob-specific applications.
That thing in the corner is your guide, Rover.

Wait a second, who are you again?
I don't recall clicking on anything, this just popped up.
Of course, there are a billion other assistants available, other than Rover.

Clicking on other options brings up this list of things you can do to customize Bob.
One thing about it is, it's absolutely packed with sound effects. Clicking on buttons, certain objects, or even just letting the guide sit around, results in all sorts of obnoxious sound effects to be heard. Perhaps that's another reason why it flopped?

Pressing F1 reveals all the non-decorative items in the room, and what they do.
I also changed guides. That red ball is Dotty, or whatever his name was.

Hey, when the hell did I ask for a second guide?
When you let the guide sit around for a while, they will do certain things, probably to get your attention.
