Conclusion:
BOB sucks. The UI is way too childish, and even at that it provides no real windowing system which any user is going to need eventually anyways. I don't know why it's dithering when I have a display set to millions of colors, and I actually had to turn off my sound halfway through because the obnoxious noises were irritating me. It's clear the reason why this failed so bad.
