BeOS includes a number of interesting screensavers, such as this one, which is called "SuperString".

Here's another interesting BeOS screensaver, unsurprisingly called "Buynow".

It is possible to customize just about all of the appearance and behavior of various files and links and such in BeOS. How practical such a thing is, I don't know. But it's cool to be able to do it, and it doesn't even require a web browser!

BeOS also includes this handy virtual memory applet for controlling the size of the page/swap file. Much easier than having to mess about with partition editors or Windows-style page files (which are a disaster).
