Note:
These pages were originally intended to be an April Fools 2015 joke about the Windows 10 release. These screenshots are dated July 2014!

So, with the release of Microsoft Windows 9 (or NT 6.66) coming soon (as in, probably within the next year), people are already creaming their pants over it.
Lucky for them, someone at Microsoft leaked this very early pre-release of it to the public! Microsoft promises that with Windows 9, it will be "going back to the basics". The running theme with Windows is that "what is old is now new again", and Microsoft pledges to stay with that philosophy and make Windows great again (unlike the disaster that was Windows 8).

Windows 9 Splash
Right off the bat we can see that what is old is indeed now new again. Is that Windows 98 I see here?

Windows 9 Login
Logging into the computer, which now proudly displays the email addresses of every user to ever sign into the system. Security? Weeeeeeee don't need no stinkin' security!
In Microsoft's own words, logging in with a regular username is now "completely impossible and forevermore will be". So I guess they really want your data, huh?

For whatever reason, the login screen is only able to display in 8-bit color. Microsoft claims to "be right on it".

Windows 9 Desktop
The classic desktop is back, and in full color!
